Evangelical Lutheran Women — meet on the fourth Thursday each month at 7:30 PM at St Peter's.
Den Danske Kvindeforening, the Danish Ladies Aid, was started in January 1906, with nine ladies present. The meetings were held in the homes on the first Tuesday of every month at 2:30 PM. The day and hour of the meeting never changed and they were conducted in the Danish language until the Danish Ladies Aid was disbanded and they joined the Lutheran Church Women. The last meeting was held at Ingeborg Johnsen's home on September 11, 1984.
Since there were a number of young women belonging to St Peter's Lutheran who could not speak Danish, it was felt that another organization was needed, which was organized in 1948 and was called "The Willing Workers". They carried on under this name until 1973 when the present "Lutheran Church Women" was formed, which includes all women of the church.
